KING'S CAMP IS BOTH A RETREAT FACILITY AND SUMMER CAMP FOUNDED IN 1983 BY A GROUP OF BELIEVERS UNDER THE NAME CHRISTIAN LIFE FELLOWSHIP.
It started simply as a place to get away and worship and find community in Christ. This group of people would meet on weekends have potluck and worship together and share testimonies about God’s goodness with one another. Over time an old horse barn was transformed into a place of worship (The Barn), an area for picnicking was screened in and had a roof put on (Tin Top Dining Hall). Buildings were added over the years such as dorms and our gym. A vision for a summer camp became clear by our late camp founder Molly Hartrick and over time with the help of so many others our summer camp came to be.
Almost four decades later we are a thriving place of ministry for so many. We have had campers come from all over the United States to be a part of this amazing experience. We provide a outdoors adventure summer camp while focusing every minute around Jesus. We are interdenominational camp hosting kids from many Protestant and Catholic backgrounds. We leave doctrine up to churches and simply teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. OUR GOAL IS FOR CAMPERS TO KNOW WHO JESUS IS, WHAT HE DID FOR THEM, AND HOW THEY CAN LIVE FOR HIM.
Throughout the year we have events for campers to be a part of and our staff goes above and beyond like no other camp to be there for our campers to disciple them.
Our campgrounds are open other weekends throughout the year for rent. We host college groups, churches, businesses, sports teams, and so much more. Groups have access our scenic campgrounds as well as access to our Chef and High Ropes Staff. There is truly nothing like an evening on our lake watching the sun set over the cypress trees and experiencing God’s amazing peace that surpasses all understanding.
